Effect of Initial Two Years of COVID-19 Pandemic on Coverage of Various Types of Vaccines Covered under the National Immunization Schedule in a Tertiary Care Hospital of Rajasthan, India

Introduction: Immunization is one of the most cost-effective public health interventions that has saved countless children's lives. However, disruption caused by COVID-19 pandemic resulted in India having 2.7 million unvaccinated children due to interruption regular immunization services. The present study, conducted a tertiary-care hospital Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, aimed estimate changes vaccine coverage during first two years pandemic.
 Methods: This retrospective record-based ecological study was at paediatric hospital, Jaipur. Data number doses each administered (0-16 years) as per National Schedule for period January 2019 December 2021 were retrieved from records. looked percentage change pre-pandemic levels 2019. Simple moving average method used depict trend administered.
 Results: A downward observed total vaccines both 2020 and 2021, with overall cent being -26.4% -22.5%, respectively. In 2020, maximum negative difference -62.4% dose Td (10 recorded, followed DPT Booster-2 (-51.5%), recorded (16 (-51.4%) OPV-3 Pentavalent-3 (-36.1% each).
 Conclusion: majority under schedule have shown extending till 2021. Monitoring catch-up strengthening system prevent such future recommended. Also, awareness through online or offline media can be customized caregivers different age groups children.
